August Parent Newsletter
Hey parents, I hope you find this resource to be a huge help! This page hopefully updates you on what your student or students are up to when they are with Central Students! We have some awesome things planned for this semester and we want you to be apart of it! On this page you will find information on our events, sermon series, and a specific resource that will be available for you as parents of our Central Students. I pray that this resource will be a helping hand in raising up your students into faithful followers of Jesus!
What We Do
Sermon Series
JONAH SERIES
In this series, we will be diving in God’s Word as we study through the book of Jonah!
Our hope and goal for this series is for the Word of God to speak to our students through the Holy Spirit!

Small Groups
Here at Central Students, we place a huge emphasis on small groups. On the last Wednesday Night Service of every month, we we have our Small Group Night. This is where we have intentional discussion time through questions regarding the messages that month. These small groups are led by a wonderful group of Youth Volunteers who feel a calling to lead and mentor young students.
-
Sunday School
We have Sunday School at 9:30 AM upstairs in the Youth Hangout Room. Junior High & High school are split into our GROW groups where we have leaders teach the classes. These GROW groups are discipleship groups where the students and teachers do a weekly Bible Study by themselves. Then they come together on Sunday morning and discuss their Bible study with one another.
-
Worship
We typically have Worship during our Wednesday Night Service right before we go into the Sermon. This allows our students to praise and glorify Christ through singing praises!
Adult Volunteer of the Month
Joel Farr
Joel Farr is rockstar for our Central Students ministry. Joel leads our High School Boys Small Group, which is no easy task. Joel is always at every event, with more energy than the students majority of the time. Joel puts in countless hours behind the scenes of different things that need to be done for the church. Joel is the definition of what a servant of Jesus is called to look like. We are so blessed to have him serving in our youth ministry, as he shines as a bright light to our students who desperately need it!
